FAO Extends Agricultural Support to Beneficiaries in Adamawa State
The Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) Extends Agricultural Support to Women Beneficiaries in Adamawa State, Following Strategic Engagement Between The Office of the Special Assistant to the President and and FAO’s Country Representative to Nigeria and ECOWAS.
Women beneficiaries engaged during state visits and town hall meetings in Adamawa last year have begun receiving vital agricultural aid from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
This development stems from a high-level meeting between the Special Assistant to the President on Women Affairs, Engr. Fatima Faruk, and FAO’s Country Representative to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Mr. Koffy Dominique Kouacou, earlier this year.
The support provided includes:
- Distribution of rainy-season inputs (seeds and fertilizers)
- Assistance to vulnerable, food-insecure households
These interventions aim to enhance food security, boost agricultural productivity, and empower rural women with sustainable livelihood opportunities.
